Welcome to Scurlage Castle Stud & Sycamore Lodge Livery

A little bit….. about us

Sycamore Lodge Livery is a small friendly livery yard in the heart of Gower. Established in 1995 and being British Horse Society Approved since 2004, we have many years experience in caring for horses.  Our annual visit from the British Horse Society livery yard approvals, is  always a delight, and it is important to us, to ensure our standards are well maintained.

I established the yard alongside training on a YT scheme, working and gaining valuable experience in caring for, breaking in and schooling young horses and ponies.
In my spare time, competing at local and county shows, on whichever young horse I was bringing on next.

Scurlage Castle Stud  has begun as a result of meeting my, now husband Paul, who introduced me to welsh cobs.  With his interest in running them in-hand, and myself producing them under saddle for ridden and whp, the beginning of Scurlage Castle Stud seemed like a natural progression for us.  We are excited about the prospect of our stud, and our aim is to breed good natured, correct and quality welsh cobs which are true to type.
